Hi , heres the story, I built this truck 10 years ago, with
a chevy motor and trans. I went through 3 engines and 4 transmissions. The truck sat for all thoses year till Nov 09. I have
always been a Hemi guy as well as porsche and Vw.
So
I had a 392 Hemi and a 6/71 blower, rebuilt for this truck. I have been slowly getting this truck built. So here are progress
shots. The goal right now is just to get it running and drivable , so that we can go to the Goodguys show in scottsdale in
march. we will see. here are the photos, keep checking back for more.
Above are photos of the truck that I paid 150.00 for from the
wrecking yard 10 or so years ago, nothing but a shell, at least I did not have to remove alot, just start building! STAY tuned
More old and progress photos to come, plus the new build progress photos with the hemi! AWSOME!
This is when I had enough of the 3 different engines and trans, the new plan 392 HEMI SUPER CHARGED,
727 trans, pistal grip, posi for the rear. the plastic mock up block gives you a good idea of how big the hemi really is,
it weight well 1000+pounds , so the plastic just made sense!
Years later, the cutting and mock up started, by then, I had the hemi rebuild with the super charger
and di no ed, over 680 Hp 492 lbs of tourque @ 3500 rpm, the 727 race trans was built and the 386 posi rear end , ford 9"
built. I bought the pistal grip NOS on ebay. Next photos are mock ups, the adaptor plate is wilcox.
